DESCRIPTION

JD Vance, Trump purge, 2028 election

JD Vance just described the political wreckage of the administration he serves—and his own future is standing in the debris. While White House insiders reportedly trade blame and brace for a possible purge, Vance has publicly blamed the war for the Republican defeat. That creates a brutal question for the man widely discussed as Trump’s successor: if he understands the failure this clearly now, what did he do to prevent it?

Justus Knight follows the statement, the reported pressure surrounding Trump’s inner circle, and the risk that replacing officials becomes a substitute for changing decisions. Vance may survive every personnel shake-up and still face the hardest reckoning of all: asking angry voters to promote him after explaining why they rejected his administration.

Principles over people. Policies over politics.
