DESCRIPTION

Trump midterm reaction | White House purge | Midterm election fallout

Someone hide the mirrors. The Daily Mail reports Trump furious and aides bracing for a purge—but what about the choices he made himself? Justus Knight examines the Iran war Trump continues to defend, voter anger over prices, and a closing speech that spent precious time on Washington’s Reflecting Pool.

Wiles and Rubio are in the headlines. Hegseth faces political pressure. The argument here: before Trump starts handing out blame, look at the decisions that came from the top.

“Hide the mirrors” is editorial sarcasm; “paralyzed” refers to the reported emotional reaction. Sources appear in the accompanying reference list.

Principles over people. Policies over politics.
